| Tournament Format | 4 Games Guaranteed weather permitting Teams will be randomly selected for two or three games of pool play followed by single elimination playoffs or consolation games. Minimum of 2/3 of all teams make the single-elimination round. In the event an age division has an odd number of teams, the team with the highest number of ECTB Points will receive a bye for one of their Pool Play games. Teams could play as many as 6 - 7 games to win the tournament. Weather permitting. |

| Event facilities | 1. **ALL** Players and coaches are required to stay on campus in the residence hall. 2. Parents have the option of staying on campus or making hotel arrangements. 3. Residence Hall rates will include 2 meals per day. 4. Residence Hall rates for 2009 are $41.00 / person / night 5. Rooms sleep 2 persons BUT rate is still based per person / night. **Field Locations are subject to change due to availability, rain outs, etc. Please contact ECTB office with any questions** |
| Event history | Mansfield University has been hosting ECTB events for 9 years! This event begins Friday 6/26 immediately following a MANDATORY 10:00 am Coaches meeting. |
| Event procedures | ECTB will REQUIRE ALL Teams to submit a NEW Team/Coach Waiver at EACH EVENT they participate in!!! 1. Coach will need to log on to his Team Administration page and enter his Initial Roster 2. Once you have entered your Main Roster you will need to select the players that are participating in the event you are scheduled to play in. 3. Once you have selected your Event Roster you will need to print out your Team Waiver. 4. You will need to obtain a parent signature for each player that is participating in that event. 5. Each coach must also sign the waiver if they will be coaching on the field or in the dugout during the game. 6. If you have a bat boy, the child's parent must sign for them as well. 7. The Team/Coach Waiver must be taken with you to the tournament and turned in to the Assigned Field Director at your 1st game of the event. 8. Your Game will NOT start until this Waiver is completed and turned in to the Field Director at your 1st game!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! 9. If your team is planning on participating in multiple events you can print an initial Waiver, obtain parent and coach signatures and make multiple photo-copies of the Waiver (omitting the Tournament Name and Dates) and then you can fill in the Event Name and dates for each event so that you do not need to obtain signatures for each event. 10. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT! A WAIVER WILL BE COLLECTED FROM EVERY TEAM AT EVERY EVENT! PRIOR TO THE EVENT : 1. Your team still needs to have their dues paid (2009 dues are due for all Fall 08, spring/summer 09 events) 2. Your team must provide proof of insurance listing ECTB as Additional Insured or purchase EVENT Insurance if you do not have insurance. 3. If your team purchased Full Season or Fall Season Insurance through ECTB you have met your insurance requirement and do not need to provide anything to ECTB regarding your Insurance. |
| Rules | ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT BASEBALL AT MANSFIELD UNIVERSITY We would like to welcome you to Mansfield University for a weekend of baseball. Please observe the following when checking in. Coaches should be aware that your teams have been invited to our campus and the team’s coach is RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR TEAM’S BEHAVOIR. 1) Room and board for YOUR ENTIRE GROUP for the weekend must be paid in full at check in (cash or credit cards only - we accept Visa, MC or Discover). NO CHECKS / NO American Express! 2) A credit card number must be on file as a deposit on lost keys, damage, cleaning, etc. 3) NO SPIKES OR CLEATS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED IN THE DORM OR DINING HALL. 4) $25 FINE FOR THROWING ITEMS OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE DORM. 5) All rooms must be cleaned upon check out. 6) Lounge furniture, TV’s, fans, micro fridges, etc. may not be removed and placed in rooms. 7) Be sure to bring bed linens, pillows, and towels. 8) Bring a fan to be safe, most of the nights are cool. 9) Please read and observe the code of conduct for Mansfield University you will receive on conduct. 10) Teams can park in any legal parking spot next to the Residence Hall and on campus. You are responsible for any parking tickets for parking in illegal parking areas or nondesignated areas. Additional overnight parking is in the upper lot by the tennis courts. 11) Campus police is located across the street from Maple Hall. Their number is 570-662-4900. All doors are locked 24 hours a day. 12) Quiet hours are 10pm on each night. Violators will be removed from campus. 13) You are not permitted in any other buildings on campus with the exception of the dining hall and pool. 14) Pool hours will be posted upon check in. Community pool in Downtown Mansfield is open each day. The cost is $2.50 per person. 15) Charges for lost keys are $50 each 16) Each teams coaching staff is responsible for their team’s behavior in the residence hall and on campus. 17) Windows must be shut upon checkout with the shades halfway up and open. 18) Upon check out leave doors open and unlocked. 19) To contact the Host (Harry Hillson) for anything at anytime you may call Harry's cell phone at 570-404-2632 or his home at 570-662-7273. This Rulebook is updated annually. Upon payment of a team's seasonal dues, each team will receive a Pocket size ECTB Rulebook. All rules not mentioned- look under the Major League rulebook as the next standard. This is a four (4) game minimum. Teams that do not make it into the Winners bracket are REQUIRED to play their consolation game. Teams WILL be penalized 25% ADDITIONAL (25% based on the amount of the original entry fee) if they leave without playing the consolation round. The 25% penalty will be enforced prior to the next event a team is scheduled to participate in. This will be enforced - NO EXCEPTIONS. Teams that do not comply with this penalty will be banned from future events including The National Championship Series. |

| Event updates | Parents/Siblings are welcome to stay in the Residence Hall at the university if they would like. PLEASE REMEMBER : If Parents & siblings chose to stay at a hotel, PLAYERS & COACHES are STILL REQUIRED to stay in the Residence Halls. Players / Coaches caught staying in a hotel WILL be IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE EVENT and FORFEIT THEIR ENTRY FEE. Teams caught staying in a hotel during and/or after an event will be banned from future ECTB participation! |
